Surface preparation

It is the treatment prior to the application of any type of coating, in order to guarantee the final anchorage of the coating to the substrate, providing greater durability.

Depending on the nature and condition of the substrate - concrete, metal, ceramic, stone, etc. - different types of treatments are used. Generally speaking, they can be divided into:

      • Manual means: chopping with pots, chopping with hammers, planing...
      • Mechanical means: abrasive blasting, water blasting, high-pressure water blasting, sanding, shot blasting, milling, diamond blasting, vacuum blasting...

The installation of many coating systems, in order to provide a good protection and optimum durability, require a surface preparation very intense and it is recommended that it is performed by a professional team.

At RVF we have specialized professionals and the most advanced machinery. If you would like more information about the type of substrate preparation needed before applying your coating, you can contact us by calling us at 974 472 819 or you can send us an email to rvf@revestimientosgraga.com.
